Who will be Romney's VP? The naming of his running mate is likely going to come in mid-August, after his foreign trip and the conclusion of the Olympics.

May 31, 2012 At first blush, the trial looks like it might do little to deter politicians from getting money from supporters and, with some sleight of hand, spend it on practically anything. While the verdict was clearly a loss for prosecutors, analysts believe it wasn't a total loss for campaign finance law.

January 13, 2012 A cardiologist's letters helped convince a North Carolina judge to delay Edwards' trial on alleged misuse of campaign funds. It's now set to start in late March.
September 22, 2011 Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a good government group, asked the court to dismiss charges brought by Justice Department that Edwards violated campaign finance laws by allegedly conspiring to have money from wealthy friends of Edwards', Rachel "Bunny" Mellon and Fred Baron, used to pay the expense of his mistress and their child.
