June 30, 2013 The death of an elderly man in Las Vegas is being blamed on temperatures that have soared past 110 degrees in many places. The National Weather Service warns that it's going to stay brutally hot in the Southwest for at least a few more days.
If you're in the red or orange zones, try to stay cool.

June 29, 2013 The highest air temperature ever recorded on the planet was the 134 degrees registered there in 1913. Forecasters say the heat wave baking the Southwest could push the temperature near that point in the valley this weekend.
