8 Charged In Terrorism Probe Of Missing Somalis
November 23, 2009 Prosecutors allege that the suspects provided financial support to young men from the Somali community in Minneapolis to go to Somalia and fight on behalf of al-Shabab, a group on the State Department's list of terrorist organizations. Five of the Minnesotans have been killed.

Man Suspected Of Jihadi Recruitment Link Indicted
October 14, 2009 Abdow Abdow, a 26-year-old medical technician from St. Paul, was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury for allegedly lying to federal authorities. He was arrested Friday.

FBI Makes Another Arrest In Missing Somalis Case
October 13, 2009 The FBI has made another arrest in its yearlong investigation into a rash of disappearances from the Somali community in Minnesota. A 26-year-old medical technician from St. Paul was arrested on Friday and charged with making false statements to FBI officials.

Dead Al-Qaida Suspect Tied To Somali Youths In U.S.
September 16, 2009 Earlier this week, U.S. Special Forces killed a man U.S. intelligence said was the link between an Islamic militia in Somalia and al-Qaida in Pakistan. But he also had a connection to the U.S. that has not been reported: He was a senior instructor for new al-Shabab recruits, including a handful of young Somali-Americans from Minneapolis.

Somali-American Pleads Guilty In Terrorism Case
