Secretary Clinton: U.S. Doesn't Want To 'Send Any Message' About Mubarak

Egyptian demonstrators used a shoe to hit a picture of President Hosni Mubarak during a protest at Tahrir Square in Cairo today (Jan. 30, 2011). That's among one of the strongest insults in their culture.

January 30, 2011 "We do not want to send any message about backing forward or backing back," she tells CNN when asked if the U.S. is backing away from the Egyptian leader. What America wants, says Clinton, is "a democratic Egypt."
