Doctors Argue Against Proposed Ban On Vaccine Preservative

December 17, 2012 The preservative thimerosal keeps vaccines from going bad in places where there is no refrigeration. Anti-vaccine activists say it should be banned because it contains mercury, but public health officials insist it's safe.

At the U.N. today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used a graphic to show how far he says Iran will be by mid-2013 in a quest to develop nuclear weapons. He drew the red line to mark where he says Iran must be stopped.

September 27, 2012 The Israeli leader said Iran will have enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear weapon by mid-2013. It needs to be told it cannot cross that "red line" without facing consequences, he said. And he delivered a sharp response to the earlier address by the head of the Palestinian Authority.
