Episcopal Church OKs Same-Sex Blessings

The rings of Michael Johnson and Michael Roberts of New York City stood ready before their marriage ceremony at the Manhattan City Clerk's Office in July 2011.

July 11, 2012 The service, to be called The Witnessing and Blessing of a Lifelong Covenant, will include an exchange of vows and rings. Supporters say that it is not a marriage ceremony.
