Lee MacPhail, Half Of Only Father-Son Duo In Baseball Hall Of Fame, Dies

November 9, 2012 As an executive with the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles, MacPhail helped build World Series champions. He also served as president of the American League. At 95, he had been the oldest living member of the Hall. That distinction now goes to former Boston Red Sox second baseman Bobby Doerr.
