    Choice of Martin Luther King Jr. Sculptor Questioned

    Weekend Edition Saturday, August 18, 2007 · There's a controversy over the "sculptor of record" for the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial set for the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Some are questioning the choice of Lei Yixin of China over a black American.

    Mr. Lei has carved about 150 large marble statues in China. Some have criticized the choice of Mr. Lei as "outsourcing."
