Audio will be available later today.

Weekend Edition Sunday host Liane Hansen speaks with regular Weekend Edition commentator Douglas Brinkley about his new biography The Unfinshed Presidency: Jimmy Carter''s Journey Beyond the White House (Viking). Carter has made a career of diplomacy and humanitarian works ever since leaving office in 1982. He''s focused in particular on fostering peace in the Middle East by supporting a continuation of the historic Camp David accords, negotiated during his administration. Brinkley says Carter is not, as is widely thought, seeking to redeem a failed presidency.
