Ps: Longer Letter Later

Liane speaks with Paula Danziger and Ann Martin, co-authors of new book for young adult readers entitled, "P.S. Longer Letter Later. A Novel In Letters" (Scholastic Press). The story is written as a year long correspondence between two eleven-year-old-girls, one of whom moves with her family away from her best friend. The two characters, Tara-Star and Elizabeth, endure a year of personal change and challenges, including testing the strength of their long-distance, letter-based friendship. The authors say they found their friendship similarly tested as they tried to shape the story.
