Prison Gladiators

This past week, a federal grand jury indicted eight prison guards and supervisors from the Corcoran State Prison in Corcoran, Calif. The indictments charge the eight with violating prisoners' civil rights and of arranging gladiator-style fights between different gang members as a pretext for shooting at the battling inmates. Susan Stamberg talks with Mark Arax, the Los Angeles Times reporter who has been following this story for the past several years.
