Daniel speaks with Ruben Rumbaut of Michigan State University about a study he's co-authored that examines how young immigrants attending American schools fare compared to their US-born peers. Rumbaut says that immigrant youth learn to speak and read English remarkably quickly and that their school performance quickly matches or is better than their peers.
