'Smash-Me Bernie' Doll For Sale At NYC Toy Fair
STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with a toy designed for the new economy: Smash-Me Bernie. It's a doll designed to look like Bernard Madoff, the investor accused of losing billions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme. The dolly is on display at a toy fair this week in New York City, Madoff's headquarters town. All you have to do is scrounge up $99.95 from the remains of your portfolio. For that, you get the Madoff look-alike, and also a hammer to smash it.
