White House Chef

Daniel visits White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier at the White House pastry kitchen. Mesnier prepares a dessert that was served this past Thursday at the dinner for British Prime Minister Tony Blair: Strawberries and Cream, along with a Chocolate Basket. Mesnier is known for his elaborate desserts - but on this day he prepares a dessert everyone can make at home. Mesnier has been Pastry Chef at The White House since 1979 when he was brought on during the Carter administraton. Daniel also talks with Assistant Pastry Chef, Franette McCulloch.
