Rescuer: Freeing Dolphins A 30 On Scale Of 1 To 10
Ruben Giles is one of five residents of Seal Cove, Newfoundland, who on Thursday put on cold-weather gear, hopped in a motorboat and freed a pod of five dolphins trapped by the ice in a cove since last weekend.
The town had asked the Canadian government to send an icebreaker to free the dolphins, but was told none was available.
Giles says they would have tried to release the dolphins sooner, but were unsure of the law on the subject.
