[Random House, 1998] other guests TBA The Justice Department will conduct a limited review into the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Attorney General Janet Reno ordered an inquiry into long-standing allegations that the late James Earl Ray, the convicted killer of the civil rights leader, did not act alone. Earlier this year, the King family requested the appointment of a federal commission with greater authority to look into the charges.
