The Senate recently approved a bill to send nuclear waste from 80 sites around the country into the Nevada desert for collective storage. President Clinton has promised to veto this bill. While the President and Congress work out their differences, some activists say nuclear waste should not be moved, others want the waste to be recycled or reprocessed for other uses.
