Board of Education [New Press, 1996] President Clinton commemorates the 40th anniversary of school desegregation in Arkansas Thursday by honoring the nine black students who risked their lives to attend all-white Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. President Dwight Eisenhower had to call in troops to protect the students from Arkansas' Governor, the National Guard, and an angry white mob determined to block the integration.
