Firefighters say they have contained the Griffith Park wildfire in the heart of Los Angeles.

The blaze has destroyed more than 800 acres of parkland.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Tony Marrone and his team have been fighting the fire from the air, using helicopters to drop water onto the flames.

Marrone explains the procedure to Alex Cohen.
