In a career that spans almost 20 years, Jada Pinkett Smith has built a portfolio as an actress, singer, songwriter, and director.

She adds another credit as executive producer of the upcoming medical drama Hawthorne on TNT; she also plays the lead role.

Pinkett Smith talks with Tony Cox about the new show and shares insights about the need for greater diversity in Hollywood.

She also addresses rumors about her marriage to actor Will Smith and allegations that a school she co-founded with her husband has ties to Scientology.

"It's either, you trust me or you don't," she says. "That's really the bottom line."
