NPR's John McChesney reports on yesterday's dramatic installment in the Microsoft trial, during which the testimony of a key Microsoft witness, senior vice president James Allchin, fell apart under cross-examination by lead government lawyer David Boies. Allchin was forced to concede some of the points he had made when a video demonstration on the effectiveness of Windows — minus Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser — went awry.
