Year 2000 Presidential Election

NPR's National Political Correspondent Elizabeth Arnold reports potential presidential candidates are already preparing for the upcoming election in 2000. During recent speeches in New Hampshire, both Lamar Alexander and former Vice-President Dan Quayle criticized President Clinton and questioned his moral authority. All the candidates are studying the mid-term election results which gave the Democrats several more seats in the House. Current Vice-President Al Gore's campaign was greatly strengthened by those results.
