Judiciary Committee Update

NPR's Larry Abramson reports on this week's proceedings in the House Judiciary Committee, where President Clinton's lawyers are expected to spend two 15-hour days defending him against impeachment. That's a compromise between the four days requested and the Committee's original offer of one day. A Committee vote on articles of impeachment is expected by the end of the week, and the full House of Representatives would then take up the matter next week.
