New Speaker-Designate Admits Adulterous Affairs

NPR's Peter Kenyon reports that Speaker-designate Bob Livingston admitted to House Republicans last night that he had a number of extra-marital affairs. Republicans emerged from a caucus saying their support for Livingston is undiminished and that they plan to forge ahead with articles of impeachment against President Clinton. The House impeachment debate begins this morning.
