Mideast Talks Extended

NPR's Ted Clark reports from Wye Mills, Maryland that the peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians have been jeopardized by an act of terrorism in Beersheba yesterday. A Palestinian suspect is being held in connection with a grenade attack that injured scores of Israelis. After news of the attack reached negotiators, Israel said it would discuss only security arrangements and nothing else on the agenda. President Clinton postponed a campaign trip to California so he can participate today, as the talks enter their sixth day.
