Campaign Finance Reform

NPR's Steven Rosenfeld reports on the status of Cincinnati's campaign finance reform bill. In 1995, the city passed a law limiting candidate spending in local elections. The law was thrown out by a federal court. Now the city has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review this case, and to re-examine its stance on federal campaign law.
