Hurricane Georges Leaves Puerto Rico

Host Bob Edwards talks with historian Ira Berlin about a new collection of interviews with former slaves. The interviews were gathered in the 1930s during the New Deal's Federal Writers Project in an effort to document the memories of America's last remaining former slaves. Many of the interviews detail the brutality of slavery as well as life for former slaves after emancipation.
