Native Americans Taking Over Welfare Programs

In the last of a four part series on Native Americans, William Drummond reports the Navajo are planning to take over welfare and manage it themselves, saying it is a right of a sovereign nation. 15 Native American tribes already run their own programs under a special provision in federal law which gives tribes the right to take control of the temporary assistance to needy families or TANF program.
