Congress Votes For Impeachment Inquiry NPR's Congressional Correspondent Brian Naylor reports that 31 Democrats joined all 227 Republicans in the House yesterday in voting to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Clinton's conduct. Chairman Henry Hyde said afterward that the Judiciary Committee staff will immediately begin working on the investigation, but that hearings will not be held until after the November election.
