President Focuses On The Country's Business

NPR's White House Correspondent Mara Liasson reports that President Clinton had little to say about yesterday's House vote other than to urge that the impeachment inquiry move ahead expeditiously. The President said he would work across party lines to pass a budget and continue to take care of the nation's business. White House officials expressed relief that relatively few Democrats voted for the Republican impeachment resolution.
