Congressional Budget Negotiations

NPR's Brian Naylor reports on the continuing budget negotiations in Congress. The session was to end last week, but inability to agree on certain points of a five hundred billion dollar budget package, the biggest being education, has kept legislators in Washington. Temporary spending bills have been passed to keep the government from shutting down.
