Congolese Rebels Prepared To Negotiate

Host Bob Edwards talks with NPR's Jennifer Ludden in Kinshasa about the latest development in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Congolese rebels say they captured the last major city to the west of Kinshasa. A rebel leader says they are prepared to negotiate a cease-fire with President Laurent Kabila. The South African trade bloc of 14 countries is considering imposing economic sanctions on the rebels.
