Cleaning Up North Philadelphia

NPR's Eric Westervelt reports that North Philadelphia is on a campaign to clean up its worst neighborhoods. A concerted effort between city agencies and the police force has towed away hundreds of broken-down cars, sealed dozens of abandoned buildings and hauled off hundreds of tons of trash. The police are concentrating on a massive narcotics sweep, and have arrested hundreds of drug dealers and buyers.
