Suspended Columnist Resigns

NPR's Brooke Gladstone reports that Boston Globe columnist Mike Barnicle resigned yesterday amid new allegations that he fabricated a column. The resignation is in response to a piece written in 1995. Barnicle was already serving a two month suspension for lifting jokes from a book by comedian George Carlin.
