Online Consumer Privacy

— NPR's Larry Abramson reports on consumer privacy online. Today, the Department of Commerce will convenve a conference on the topic, addressing the growing number of inquiries about how companies collect and use information about people who use the Internet. Online marketers are endorsing self-regulation, citing that federal intervention could ruin electronic commerce.
