Accussed Dad Gets Empathy

— NPR's Tovia Smith reports on the phenomenon of the Stephen Fagan story, which appears to have touched a nerve with many Americans. Those who have married and separated with bitter child custody battles themselves seem able to empathize with the dilemma surrounding the Fagan family. Stephen Fagan abducted his two daughters following his divorce, informing them that their mother had died in a car accident and raising them under assumed names. The story has appeared in talk shows and newspapers nationwide.
