Children's Health Insurance

— NPR's Patricia Neighmond reports on the new federal program that provides money to states, so they can identify children who are not covered by health insurance and make sure those children receive the medical attention they need. The program is called the Children's Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, for short. So far, the Federal Healthcare Financing Administration has approved l3 state CHIP plans. Another l4 plans are awaiting evaluation.
