Russian Miners Protest

— David McGuffin reports that Russian miners have blocked off the Trans-Siberian railroad today, protesting the government's inability to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in back wages. While the wage issue has been an ongoing problem for the last eight years, it is being passed from President Boris Yeltsin's jurisdiction to his new government of young reformers.
