—NPR's Steve Inskeep reports that Loral Space and Communications denies accusations that the company used campaign donations to get White House approval for the transfer of missile technology to China. CEO Bernard Schwartz insists both that the information shared with China was not a security risk and that his donations were not attempts to buy influence. Congress has established a special committee to investigate the accusations.
