College Phaseout Remedial Classes

— Beth Fertig of member station WNYC reports that the City University of New York Trustees voted last night to begin phasing out all remedial classes at its four year colleges next Fall. Students at CUNY's senior colleges are currently allowed a full year of remediation while going to school. Remedial courses will be phased out over a three-year period.
