Campaign Finance Reform Bills

— NPR's Peter Overby reports on House passage last night of two campaign finance reform bills. One would prohibit contributions by resident aliens; the other would require electronic disclosure by candidates and campaign committees. Two other bills were defeated. One of those would have banned soft money; the other would have blocked unions from spending members' dues on issue ads without their consent.
