Jon Miller On Baseball

— Host Bob Edwards talks to baseball broadcaster, Jon Miller, who now does games for the San Francisco Giants and ESPN. Miller talks about some of the radio announcers who influenced him, including Ernie Harwell, Red Barber, Russ Hodges, and Lon Simmons. He also relates how he started out as a 10-year-old doing his own play-by-play of a baseball simulation game and later tape recording high school games in his home town of Hayward, California. [Jon Miller's book, `Confessions of a Baseball Purist,' is published by Simon & Shuster. ISBN 0-684-84518-0].
