In Mexican Town, Murder Rate For Women On The Rise

-- NPR's Philip Davis reports from Ciudad Juarez, the Mexican border town across from El Paso, Texas, where more than a hundred young women have been murdered over the last few years. The city attracts many young women from Mexican villages, who are eager to work in assembly plants, where they can earn their own money and have a measure of independence.
