Welfare-To-Workfare

— Barbara Mantel has an update on `Lisa,' a 19-year-old single mother in New York City, who is trying to find an entry level job, while also attending community college and taking care of a three-year-old daughter. Lisa is a welfare recipient, who refused her workfare assignment last Fall because she said the orientation was insulting. Her benefits were subsequently reduced but have been fully restored, now that she has agreed to take a workfare position, if she doesn't find her own job by the end of next month.
