Clinton Grand Jury Resumes

— With so much public attention focused on the federal grand jury called by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, NPR's Nina Totenberg examines the grand jury system. Starr has expanded his investigation into an Arkansas land deal to include allegations that President Clinton had an extramarital relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Lewinsky's mother has testified before Star's grand jury, and he has been trying to get Lewinsky herself to testify. Grand jury hearings differ fundamentally from trials, in that there are virtually no rules.
