Debating Nato Expansion

— NPR's Mike Shuster reports that the Senate has begun debating whether to ratify changes in the NATO Treaty, which would allow the Alliance to expand and take in Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic as new members. President Clinton wants quick approval and no delays in admitting other new members. Some senators favor placing a three-year hold on any additional NATO expansion.
