Errors In Beardstown

— NPR's Jim Zarroli reports the Beardstown Ladies investment group admitted yesterday that they'd greatly overstated their stock market returns. The group of midwestern housewives have written popular books that claimed they made 23% on their investments. They say a computer error over-inflated their estimates... the actual return was more like 9%. Over the same time, the stock market as a whole rose 15%.
