Recruiting Union Members

— NPR's Don Gonyea reports that despite a strong economy, membership in unions has dropped over the past few years. The main reason is that job growth is happening in fields that traditionally aren't represented by unions — mostly service industries and white-collar jobs. The AFL-CIO is meeting this week in Las Vegas... the group is concentrating on recruiting new members.
