— NPR's Debbie Elliott reports on the possibility that the State of Texas will settle its lawsuit against the tobacco industry before it goes to trial this week in Texarkana. Texas is trying to recover Medicaid money it spent treating people with smoking related illnesses. Two other states, Florida and Mississippi, already have settled similar lawsuits out of court.
