— NPR's Ted Clark reports that President Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met for a second time late last night. They had originally planned a single, morning talk. Clinton offered Netanyahu new ideas on redeployment from the West Bank. He suggested that troops could be pulled back in small steps rather than all at once. The leaders reached no concrete agreements.
